Dreaming of warmer days ahead

                              Well, it’s forecast to dollop a load of snow here tonight so I thought I’d write and do an update of up-coming events for the diary that will be taking place when they weather is less artic! I think I’m particularly feeling the cold this week having enjoyed a very relaxing two weeks in southern Spain over the New Year - I can thoroughly recommend Nerja if you want to visit Andalucía, it’s a brilliant town, lots of sun and tapas. Markets, galleries and Christmas present opportunities

It’s the start of November and my thoughts are turning towards a busy couple of months in the run up to Christmas. I’ve been booking myself in to craft fairs, making lots of new work and packaging pots and jewellery up to send to galleries. Two weeks ago I visited the wonderful Kunsthuis Gallery at the Dutch House in Crayke, near York, to deliver my wrap pots and a selection of ceramic jewellery for their Christmas exhibition which opens on the 7th November. It’s a beautiful gallery in a great setting; there are gardens to visit, a café and lots of events over the Christmas period - well worth a visit. Gallery Deliveries and Newspaper Articles

It’s been a while since I lasted posted so I thought it was time for a catch up.  The last few days have been spent getting my ceramic jewellery and pots packaged up and sent off to a variety of galleries. The first delivery was to an exciting new gallery shop, ‘Fresh from the Studio’, that my business mentor Elizabeth White has opened in Littleborough, just in time for the Tour de France to whizz through on 7 July.  Liz is a fine art painter who has been acting as my mentor whilst I have been in the process of setting up my business, getting me through writing business plans and cash flow forecasts (lucky Liz!).  So if you are...
